Day 5: 10 minute Yoga for Beginners | RELAXATION & FLEXIBILITY

Sarah Beth Yoga

It's Day 5 of our 7 day Beginner Yoga Challenge. You're doing great!

Today, we're focusing on relaxation and flexibility with a gentle 10-minute practice that's perfect for unwinding and increasing your range of motion.

As always, I'm keeping things simple and accessible. Whether you're feeling stressed, tight, or just in need of some gentle movement, this practice is designed to help you feel more relaxed and limber.

Let's talk about why relaxation and flexibility are so important in yoga. When we relax, we release tension from our bodies and minds, which can help reduce stress and promote overall well being. Improving flexibility, on the other hand, can enhance our range of motion, reduce the risk of injury, and make everyday movements easier.

In today's video, we'll focus on gentle stretches and relaxation techniques. We'll start with some deep breathing to center ourselves, then move into some easy stretches for the major muscle groups. We'll pay special attention to areas that tend to hold tension, like the neck, shoulders, and lower back.

You can expect a mix of seated and reclined poses, all designed to promote relaxation and gently increase flexibility. We'll hold each pose for a bit longer than in previous sessions, allowing you to sink into the stretch and really feel the benefits.

Ready to relax and stretch? You can find today's practice here:

Remember, the goal of this practice is to feel good. Don't push yourself to stretch further than is comfortable. Instead, focus on the sensation of releasing tension and creating space in your body.
