Day 7: 10 minute Yoga for Beginners | Beginner Yoga Stretch for Evening & Bedtime

Sarah Beth Yoga

You did it! Welcome to the final day of our 7 day Beginner Yoga Challenge.

Today, we're winding down with a gentle evening yoga stretch that's perfect for preparing your body and mind for a restful night's sleep.

As always, I'm keeping things simple and accessible. This practice is designed to help you release the tensions of the day and ease into a peaceful evening, regardless of your yoga experience.

Let's talk about why an evening yoga practice can be so beneficial. Gentle stretching before bed can help release physical tension that's built up during the day. It can also calm your mind, reducing stress and anxiety that might keep you up at night. Plus, establishing a bedtime routine that includes yoga can signal to your body that it's time to wind down, potentially improving your sleep quality.

In today's video, we'll focus on slow, gentle movements and deep breathing. We'll target areas that tend to hold tension, like the neck, shoulders, and lower back. We'll also include some calming forward folds and light twists to help you feel grounded and relaxed.

You can expect a mix of seated and reclined poses, all designed to be done right before bed. We'll move slowly and mindfully, allowing plenty of time to settle into each pose and focus on your breath.

Remember, the goal of this practice is to relax and prepare for sleep. Don't push yourself too hard. Instead, focus on gentle movements and deep, soothing breaths.
